It’s been a bumpy road to get this far, but filming has finally begun on the second season of American Gods.

Since the first season debuted, Bryan Fuller has left as showrunner, and Gillian Anderson also departed the programme. Then, at the start of the year, Starz – the US network backing the show – admitted it was having problems getting season two into place.

But finally, things appear to have come together. The news that filming was underway came from the Twitter account of Ricky Whittle, who posted the following…

We don’t know yet when American Gods is going to return. Our best guess would be early next year. But we do, at least, know that it’s coming again…
