Eek, we’re getting close now! You can tell we’re nearing the release of Game Of Thrones season 8 because HBO is actually starting to share proper glimpses of the upcoming final episodes of its fantasy behemoth. Today, we’ve got a big stack of images to share…

This follows such odd, not-really-part-of-the-show teaser trailers including the weird Super Bowl commercial (featuring the ‘Bud Light Knight’) and the highly atmospheric teaser clip that saw Jon, Sansa and Arya chilling in the crypts of Winterfell (which didn’t seem to be an actual scene from the show either).

These images seem properly legit, though, showing fan favourite characters from the show in their actual costumes from the show’s final season. Let’s delve into the pile then.

Game Of Thrones season 8 will premiere on HBO on April 14th, and we imagine that Sky will keep doing their UK simulcasts (as well as chucking the episode up on Now TV straightaway, then airing it again on Monday nights).

Now that we have some proper pictures to gawp at, perhaps we’re not that far away from an actual trailer with real footage from the show. We’ll keep you posted…
