The Crown season 3 casts Princess Anne and the Queen Mother

Netflix has confirmed some more casting for The Crown season 3: Marion Bailey will play the Queen Mother, and Erin Doherty is lined up for the role of Princess Anne. Plus, Josh O’Connor is confirmed again as Princes Charles.

Netflix unveiled this three-part casting announcement on Twitter, making our job easy by sharing images of these new cast members alongside a little statement from each of them.

Here, for example, is what Doherty – who you may have previously seen in Call The Midwife – had to say about her casting as Princess Anne:

And here are the thoughts of Marion Bailey, who was previously seen in Mr Turner and Allied, on being cast as the Queen Mother…

And this is what Josh O’Connor, star of The Durrells, makes of his casting as Prince Charles…

They join a cast that includes Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Howard Wilson and Ben Daniels as Antony Armstrong-Jones. We’re collecting pictures of the new cast in action over in a different article, if you’d like to have a look.
