Peaky Blinders: show creator teases big surprise

Peaky Blinders

Ahead of the return of Peaky Blinders next week, the show’s creator and writer, Steven Knight, has been dropping a few hints as to what to expect. And in particular, a sizeable tease for the end of the series.

Whilst he’s not specific, you might not want to read on if you don’t even want a sniff of a spoiler.

Peaky Blinders series 4 debuts on BBC Two on November 15th, then, and it promises to be a notable series for the show. What’s more, Knight told Deadline that there’s going to be “a surprise” at the end of the current series. He then teased that “I think they pay a big cost. As this series develops there will be losses. But I’m not a believer in pulling a prominent character’s death out of the bag in order to get people to talk about it because I think it’s a law of diminishing returns”.

Just what that surprise is remains to be seen. Don’t be surprised if it sets things up for a particularly dramatic, already-confirmed series 5…
