Good news X-Men fans! The promising new mutant series The Gifted – due to premiere in the US on 2 October – will be airing on FOX in the UK just a few days later.
The show follows a family who discover that their two children have mysterious powers, forcing them to go on the run and fight for their survival.
Amy Acker (Angel, Person of Interest) and True Blood‘s Stephen Moyer star as the parents, while newcomers Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White will play the superpowered adolescents. Also Jamie Chung is in this, and she’s always brilliant.
It’s about time we had a proper television series in the X-Men universe, and The Gifted has so far risen to the top of the crowded superhero TV news cycle in 2017.
The show will premiere in the UK on October 8 and 9pm.
