‘Doctor Who’ fan’s ‘Trial of a Time Lord’ trailer actually makes it look really good

Nearly 30 years since ‘The Trial of a Time Lord’ first aired on BBC One, a fan has edited together a brilliant trailer for the epic 14-part Doctor Who serial.

Colin Baker’s second full season as the Sixth Doctor aired in late 1986 and comprised four linked stories: ‘The Mysterious Planet’, ‘Mindwarp’, ‘Terror of the Vervoids’ and ‘The Ultimate Foe’.

I always liked the Trial of A Time Lord too. I thought the concept of the Valyard as an evil future Doctor turned Districts Attorney was great. I met Colin Baker last year at SLC Comicon along with Paul McCann. Baker’s cranky and imperious mood was not acting. He actually mocked me for having a real camera and not using a cell phone for a picture if the 3 if us.

Shame on you! Your headline just assumes we all hate Trial. That’s nonsense! It’s flawed but it’s good.

Unless the British spelling of the American “trial” is “trail”, the closing credit was the only thing wrong with the clip.

    • Dr. Moo

Yep, that’s a typo. “Trial” is one of those words you do spell correctly.

For some reason I’ve read that in Sixie’s voice in my mind.
