Morvin and Foon van Hoff (‘Voyage of the Damned’)

This hapless but lovable couple from Sto won their way onto the Titanic Cruise liner and were present when it was damaged by asteroids.

Sadly, Morvin fell to his death during the perilous climb through the ship and later Foon sacrificed herself, taking out on of the Host robots as she could not bear to live on without him.

 

Craig Owens and Sophie (2010 – 2011)

Doctor who The Lodger

Best mates Craig and Sophie were stuck in a rut of pizza-booze-telly, never confessing to their love for each other until the Doctor came to stay in ‘The Lodger’.

The admission of their true feelings was enough to save the day and the pair went on to have a child together, named Stormageddon Alfie.

 

Joan Redfern and John Smith (‘Human Nature / ‘The Family of Blood’)

Doctor Who Human Nature

School matron Joan Redfern fell for the handsome history teacher John Smith and they should have lived happily ever after. Unfortunately John Smith was unaware that he was the Doctor, transformed into a human being by a chameleon arch in an attempt to evade The Family of Blood.

Unable to accept his true nature, and the carnage brought to the Farringham School for Boys by his presence, the two parted badly. We did however discover that Joan went on be happy and have at least one grandchild, Verity.
