Rachel Talalay will be directing the final two episodes of Doctor Who season 10. She is pretty much universally loved by fans of the show, and here’s why. 

As we come towards the end of series 10 of Doctor Who, we thought it was a good time to take a look at the work of Rachel Talalay. You may have heard the name, for it is she who will be directing the final two episodes and the Christmas special that will serve as Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat’s swansong. These three episode will leave her having directed seven episodes of Doctor Who, the first being 2014’s ‘Dark Water‘. Her work here and on a variety of shows – including Sherlock, Haven, Continuum and Legends of Tomorrow

So, we bashed together some heads to come up with a few examples of her work from across a varied career in film and TV. This is by no means a definitive list. However, if you have little or no idea of her work, we think its a good primer as to why she is so respected by genre fans. Enjoy.
