Tantalising morsels about Prime Video’s new comedy, Bait, have been released, including First-Look pictures. Here’s what we have so far:
What’s it about?
Bait follows a struggling actor takes on an audition which causes his life to spiral out of control. Shah Latif appears to have tried out to be the next James Bond, causing all kinds of characters to come out of the woodwork and stoke the flames of speculation he’s so desperately trying to put out. His family, ex-lover and many more people begin to judge whether he’s the right man for this role.
Who’s in it?
The series is led by Riz Ahmed (Venom) and also stars Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen), Sheeba Chaddha (Badhaai Do), Sajid Hasan (Dhoop Kinare), Aasiya Shah (Bloods), Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You) and Ritu Arya (Polite Society).
Who’s behind it?
Bait is produced by Riz Ahmed, Allie Moore (Hamlet) and Jake Fuller (Emily in Paris). Riz Ahmed is also Bait‘s showrunner, alongside executive producer Ben Karlin (Modern Family). The series is produced by Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios.
When’s it out?
The six-episode series will premier exclusively on Prime Video on March 25th, with one clip already being released alongside the First-Look images:
