BBC Three has greenlit a new series called Wannabe, that stars Lily Brazier. Brazier headlined a pilot of the show, that wasn’t broadcast. But off the back of it, a four part series has been ordered that will film next year.
Brazier wrote the pilot along with Ben Murray (the latter of whom directed), and according to British Comedy Guide, she stars in the show as Mich, a member of a girlband in the 1990s. She wants to get back into the music business as a ‘pop mum’, and begins plotting her comeback.
There’s no word yet on whether BBC Three will broadcast the pilot, but more news on the show as we get it…
