Blue Peter’s Doctor Who 2023 fan art competition winner Verity went behind the scenes of the 2024 Doctor Who series.

Verity’s winning fan art design impressed head judge Russell T Davies and earned her an exclusive, never-before-seen behind-the-scenes tour of the set where she came face to face with The Meep and Wrath Warriors and met Doctor Who crew including producers and costume designers.

Along with Blue Peter presenters Abby Cook and Joel Mawhinney, Verity had exclusive access to tour the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Doctor’s TARDIS set before it was revealed in the 60th anniversary specials. She even had the opportunity to interview Russell T Davies himself about his favourite Doctors, where he’d go with the TARDIS, and more.

Verity also met Doctor Who actors Jemma Redrave, who plays UNIT chief Kate Stewart and Bonnie Langford, who plays former companion and UNIT scientist Melanie Bush.

The cast and crew were filming scenes for the 2024 series finale on the UNIT tower set.

Verity was thrilled to meet Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson, who play the Doctor and his companion Ruby Sunday. Both actors marvelled at her artwork.
