Citadel: Diana – Prime Video teases the next chapter of their Spyverse
With the first season finished and the second officially confirmed, you might have expected all things Citadel to go quiet. Not so, as the newly christened “Citadel Spyverse” is a thoroughly international affair.
We’ve always known the high budget series was planned with global aspirations; in addition to the primary series starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, there are Italian, Indian and Mexican series within the franchise (so far).
The first of these, the Italian Citadel: Diana was teased at the end of the Citadel season finale. While we don’t know much about the show, we do know it was created, produced, and filmed in Italy.
The show’s central character is played by Matilda De Angelis (The Undoing), with Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Giordana Faggiano, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz and Filippo Nigro.
Citadel: Diana is directed by Arnaldo Catinari and developed by Alessandro Fabbri, who is also the head writer. The other writers are Ilaria Bernardini, Laura Colella, Gianluca Bernardini and Giordana Mari.
The series comes from Cattleya (ZeroZeroZero)—part of ITV Studios—and showrunner and executive producer Gina Gardini. Riccardo Tozzi, Marco Chimenz and Giovanni Stabilini also serve as executive producers and Emanuele Savoini as co-executive producer.
AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Ostot, Scott Nemes, and David Weil executive produce on Citadel: Diana and all series within the global Citadel universe. Midnight Radio executive produces too.
We can expect Citadel: Diana to land sometime in 2024. We’ll keep you posted.
