It’s time for a clash of the umbrellas as Missy encounters the Seventh Doctor for her part of Dark Gallifrey.
Doctor Who audio producers Big Finish released two trilogies released in their Dark Gallifrey saga during 2024.
The 24-part epic, which focusses on Time Lord villains, continues in 2025 with two more three-parters.
Following Morbius and The War Doctor, the series’ third trilogy will feature Missy – the female incarnation of the Time Lord commonly known as the Master who appeared opposite the Twelfth Doctor onscreen.
Michelle Gomez (The Flight Attendant) reprises her role, with the second part promising an appearance from Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor too.
From writer Rochana Patel, Dark Gallifrey: Missy drops monthly between April and June 2025.
Part One
On a remote and isolated planet, where technology cannot progress beyond steam-power, two thieves are on the run. Hunted and trapped by automaton policemen, they look certain to hang for their crimes…
…until Missy drops into their world.
Their lives are about to change forever, as is the fate of their entire planet…
Part Two
Missy needs to find the Doctor.
However, it’s very important it’s the right Doctor – she wouldn’t want to accidentally slip up and meet an earlier incarnation by mistake, because the consequences of that could be truly catastrophic…
Part Three
Choices have been made. Fates are being forged.
There are new friendships, new alliances, and a war to be fought, plus an extremely dangerous new arrival…
Producer Robert Valentine said:
“The Dark Gallifrey saga is about to continue in style with Missy, a dimension-shattering three-part steampunk adventure starring Michelle Gomez as the Doctor’s wild and wicked nemesis.
“Missy finds herself seriously lost in a pocket dimension that shouldn’t exist – part of the fallout of Dark Gallifrey. But she soon finds that there’s fun to be had, schemes to hatch, and stories of a time travelling hero with a Scottish accent. Let the battle of the brollies commence!
“Watching Michelle Gomez return to the role was a magical thing to witness, and she was absolutely delighted to be playing off Rochana Patel’s incredible script. Missy is a role Michelle was born to play, and in Dark Gallifrey: Missy, she plays it to the hilt.”
The Worlds of Doctor Who – Dark Gallifrey: Missy Parts One to Three are now available for pre-order as single-disc collector’s edition CDs (+ download), or as downloads only, from Big Finish.
