Even though the second series of Doctor Foster, starring Suranne Jones, is still running, the clamour for a series three appears to be underway already.
Suranne Jones has addressed the possibility of a third series in a new interview, and in doing so, has teased the finale of series two as well.
“If Mike comes up with another story then we’ll talk about it”, she said. “But for now, like the first one, it’s got a really good ending”.
The Mike to whom Jones refers is Mike Bartlett, who has written every episode of the show. The onus is firmly on him, as you might expect, for there to be a future series of the show. Given how well this series has gone down, though, we’re not betting against it…
