“It certainly isn’t a story about the Doctor. It’s an ensemble piece and it’s huge character arcs for all four of us. And I think that’s really necessary because it’s far more interesting.”

So, the Doctor, Yasmin Khan, Ryan Sinclair and Graham O’Brien will have some “huge” “interesting” character arcs over the course of Series 11, which consists of ten stand-alone episodes.
Doctor Who Series 11 will premiere worldwide on television October 7 with The Woman Who Fell to Earth.
