It’s been some time since their screen Torchwood days, but Russell T Davies and Eve Myles have finally been working together for the first time in a good number of years.

Davies has penned the upcoming BBC miniseries A Very English Scandal, that stars Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw. It’s been filming filming recently, and Myles revealed to Digital Spy that she’s joined the cast, and will be playing Gwen Parry-Jones.

Myles recalled that “my first day on set and Russell’s sat there, and he’s telling Ben Whishaw ‘she’s so wonderful, I wrote a series for this girl!’”.

She describes the script for A Very English Scandal as “fantastic”. We’ll be able to find out how it all shapes up later this year, when the miniseries lands on BBC One. Looking forward to it.
