Aww! Former Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman has sent new companion actress Pearl Mackie flowers to mark her first proper day of filming.
Season 10’s epic ten-month shoot began in Cardiff today, with Peter Capaldi returning for his third year as the Doctor.
Jenna Coleman departed the show in Season 9’s finale last year after three years as Coal Hill School teacher Clara Oswald.
Pearl Mackie was announced the new companion, Bill, in April live on BBC One during half time of the FA Cup semi-final.
She tweeted earlier: “Thank you @jenna_coleman_ what a beautifully thoughtful gift. From one companion to another. Day 1, Doctor Who”
