SFX magazine has released part of its interview with Doctor Who producer Joel Collins ahead of its publication on 24 January.
Collins revealed that the production has already started the VFX reviews for the 2024 series finale. “And it’s just bloody exciting!”
“What can I say? It’s an amazing ending. Every episode of season one is like a roller coaster ride,” Collins told SFX, adding that each episode in its own right is “individually brilliant” and was “amazing to make. I mean, amazing for us all to go on individual journeys through the episodes, and they culminate in something fantastic. And it’s gonna be really fun for the audience.”
“The audience needs to keep a keen eye out for amazing fun Easter eggs and things that are going to layer through the season,” Collins further revealed to SFX magazine.
The series stars Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor and Millie Gibson as his companion Ruby Sunday. Guest stars in the series include Michelle Greenidge, Angela Wynter, Jinkx Monsoon, Jack Forsyth-Noble, Bhav Joshi, Eilidh Loan, Pete MacHale, Billy Brayshaw, Miles Yekinni, Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy, Susan Twist, Anita Dobson, Jemma Redgrave, Alexander Devrient, Aneurin Barnard, Jonathan Groff, Indira Varma, Lenny Rush, Yasmin Finney, Ruth Madeley and Bonnie Langford.
