‘Doctor Who’ Season 8 Episode 8 synopsis revealed: ‘Mummy on the Orient Express’

The BBC has published the official synopsis for the eighth episode of Doctor Who‘s new season, titled ‘Mummy on the Orient Express’.

Written by Jamie Mathieson and guest starring Frank Skinner and singer Foxes, the episode airs at 8.35pm on Saturday 11 October on BBC One and is described by Steven Moffat as “stunning in a very glamorous way”.

The synopsis reads: “The Doctor and Clara are on the most beautiful train in history, speeding among the stars of the future – but they are unaware that a deadly creature is stalking the passengers.

“Once you see the horrifying Mummy you only have 66 seconds to live. No exceptions, no reprieve. As the Doctor races against the clock Clara sees him at his deadliest and most ruthless. Will he work out how to defeat the Mummy? Start the clock!”
