Doctor Who, Revolution of the Daleks: behind the scenes

Posted Filed under

The BBC released a video of filming the Doctor Who New Year special Revolution of the Daleks.

The scene featured is the Doctor’s reunion with her companions in Sheffield.

Leaf blowers were employed to simulate the TARDIS materialization effect which led to some behind-the-scenes hi-jinks from Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole.

More hi-jinks abound in the video wishing a fond farewell to the two male companions.

Here are a few personal photos and videos from John Barrowman.

The following are posts from creature actors.

Wonder what Brunel would have made of Daleks abusing his Suspension Bridge like this!

Some extras also posted.

One actor was unfortunately cast in a scene which was cut from the special. He was cast as a castle guard and, judging from the tartan in his costume, it was meant to be a castle in Scotland.

The crew and creatives also shared photos from production.
