The writer for Doctor Who Series 12 were announced in Doctor Who Magazine 545.
In addition to showrunner Chris Chibnall, who has written four episodes for the Series 12 including the opener and the finale, the writers returning from Series 11 are Ed Hime (It Takes You Away), Pete McTighe (Kerblam!) and Vinay Patel (Demons of the Punjab).
Nina Metivier, Maxine Alderton and Charlene James are the new Series 12 writers.
Screenwriter Nina Metivier was a script editor on Doctor Who Series 11, and according to her agency page, has penned one episode of series 12.
Maxine Alderton has The Worst Witch and Emmerdale on her agency credits.
Charlene James is an award-winning playwright and a screenwriter who wrote two episodes of A Discovery of Witches.
The Series 12 directors, Jamie Stone, Lee Haven Jones, Nida Manzoor and Emma Sullivan were also officially announced in the magazine.
Doctor Who Series 12 is believed to consist of ten episodes. In addition to the ten episodes, a special was filmed by Lee Haven Jones.

Doctor Who Magazine is available at newsstands and online Thursday, November 14. Some subscribers in the UK received issue number 545 early in the post.
