Justin Molotnikov is directing an upcoming two-parter in the new season of Doctor Who.

It is not yet known if the story is Episodes 9-10 (believed to be written by Mark Gatiss) or Season 9’s two-part finale (written by Steven Moffat).

The news was confirmed on his online CV.

Molotnikov has previously directed episodes of Merlin, Shameless, Da Vinci’s Demons, My Parents Are Aliens and Taggart. He most recently directed several episodes of Atlantis Season 2.

Season 9 began filming in Cardiff in January and will air on BBC One this autumn.
