Ncuti Gatwa was spotted filming Doctor Who in Cardiff on October 30.
The locations, Mansion House, Cardiff and the Main building of Cardiff University, were decorated for Christmas and 2024 Christmas special director Alex Pillai was spotted.

When night fell, the filming moved to Cardiff University, which was set-dressed as a World War II setting with sandbags and extras.

The same actor spotted at Mansion House stood out on a balcony with binoculars and was heard saying, “There is hope you know, we’ve got to cling on to that. There is still hope.”

Filming then moved to the side of the university building set-dressed earlier in the day for a snowy, modern-day New York City street filled with shoppers and lined with food carts, one called Central Park Snacks.

A casting call indicated that filming in the general location will commence again on October 31.
Doctor Who will return on 25 November 2023 with The Star Beast, the first of three Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble — followed by Wild Blue Yonder on 2 December and The Giggle on 9 December.
Ncuti Gatwa will star in his first full Doctor Who episode as the Fifteenth Doctor in the Doctor Who Christmas special alongside Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday in December 2023.
A new 8-episode Doctor Who series starring Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson will debut in Spring of 2024 followed by the 2024 Christmas special later in the year.
BBC One will be the exclusive home of Doctor Who in the UK and Ireland and all new episodes will be exclusively available to stream on iPlayer in the UK. Disney+ will be the exclusive home for all new episodes of Doctor Who outside of the UK and Ireland.
