Wild Blue Yonder is the second of three Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials to appear in November. Here is what we know about the one-hour special so far.
The TARDIS crash-lands into the wall of an unknown place which looks very spacey and technological. The Fourteenth Doctor (David Tennant) and Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) step out.
Donna says “Oh, my God, where are we?”
The TARDIS dematerializes, leaving an empty space where it crashed.
Donna is heard saying “There’s something so bad that the TARDIS ran away?” When the Doctor answers “Yes,” Donna replies “Then we go and kick its arse!” She then proceeds to press a button on a wall.
The Doctor and Donna explore the place that spooked the TARDIS.
Two scenes from the glitchy trailer for the special show the Doctor wrestling with the controls. You can hear him say “I’m sorry, Donna.”
In another scene, the Doctor is seen frustrated.
Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble titled The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle.
Ncuti Gatwa will star in his first full Doctor Who episode as the Fifteenth Doctor in the Doctor Who Christmas special alongside Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday in December 2023.
A new 8-episode Doctor Who series starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby will debut in Spring of 2024.
