The BBC has announced that we’re getting a bonus episode of the brilliant Inside No 9, with the news that a Halloween special is coming!

It’ll be a brand new 30 minute episode, created by and starring Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith. It’ll be a ‘live’ episode, at least it says here. But we strongly suspect it won’t be. Rather, look for it to take aim at live Halloween episodes.

We’re going to go out on a proverbial limb and suggest we’re getting an October transmission date for this. The synopsis reads…

As with all previous episodes of Inside No.9, this brand new 30 minute story promises to be a twisted tale which will aim to surprise, delight, unnerve and amuse in equal measure. Full storyline information and casting details will be revealed in due course, but aside from being a Halloween special this particular tale will have one very large and noticeable difference unlike all other Inside No.9’s before it, as this episode will be broadcast to the nation completely live.

A further full series of Inside No 9 will follow next year. Good times.
