The last hurrah for the Captain is imminent as Picard Season 3 approaches…
With Star Trek: Picard‘s third and final run is now less than two months away, we officially getting excited. So, it appears, is showrunner Terry Matalas, who dropped a tease of the show’s score on Christmas Day via his Instagram feed.
In it, he delivered a taste of composer Stephen Barton’s theme for the USS Titan. The original Titan was Riker’s former command, however this is the Titan-A and the vessel on which Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) now serves, and possibly comes to command?
Various comments allude to the composition’s nods to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982), suggesting that the show may celebrate even more than just the legacy of 90s Star Trek.

Returning characters
Reuniting Patrick Stewart with most of his Star Trek: The Next Generation castmates, the upcoming season also promises returning villains. While Data is no more, Brent Spiner will be reprising the android’s “brother” Lore. Additionally, Daniel Davis will be reprising his role as the holodeck-created Moriarty, once a foil for Data’s Sherlock Holmes.
However, the main villain of the series is Vadic, played by Amanda Plummer, who appears to have an axe to grind with Picard!
Star Trek: Picard Season 3 lands at Paramount+ on February 16th, 2023. In the UK, it streams on Prime.
