On the BBC’s The One Show, Russell T Davies teased some hints on Doctor Who Season Two starring Ncuti Gatwa, Millie Gibson and Varada Sethu.
“It’s sensational. There’s a lot of scares. There’s a planet in the far future that’s absolutely terrifying. There’s a trip to Miami. It’s very, very, very good and it’s coming sooner than you think.”
This is good news. The most likely time for the next series to air is in spring of 2025. Davies’ comments possibly indicate early spring as opposed to a late spring premiere like Season One which premiered on 10 May 2024. Could it be too much to hope for the series to premiere even earlier than spring?
Davies has previously said that a decision to commission a third series will come after Season Two completes transmission so the sooner transmission ends, the sooner the decision.
