Channel 4 have released a batch of first-look images for the second run of its drama Suspect.
The show, which returns this summer, stars Anne-Marie Duff as Dr Susannah Newman, who continues her search to find out the truth surrounding her daughter’s tragic death.
The second series begins with a mysterious new client Jon (Dominic Cooper), who makes a disturbing confession under hypnosis. This leads Susannah to embark on a deadly mission to save a life, the way she couldn’t do with her own daughter…
Alongside Anne-Marie Duff and Dominic Cooper, there’s an impressive cast line-up join for series 2.
Ben Miller (Professor T) returns as Detective Superintendent Richard Groves, with Tamsin Greig (Friday Night Dinner) playing Natasha Groves.
Vinette Robinson (Boiling Point) plays Louisa McAdams, with Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan) as Alistair Underwood.
Also in the ensemble are Celine Buckens (Showtrial) as Sapphire, Nicholas Pinnock (Top Boy) as Joseph Buckley and Gina McKee (Our Friends in the North) as Kate.
Suspect Series 2
Suspect is adapted from the Danish original Forhøret (Face to Face) created by Christoffer Boe and written by Christoffer Boe and Anna Juul. The UK version comes from Eagle Eye Drama (Professor T).
The series director by Carolina Giammetta (Before We Die). The writers are Joy Wilkinson (Lockwood & Co) and David Allison (The Couple Next Door). The series has been produced in association with Happy Duck Films and the Belgian Tax Shelter.
Suspect Series 2, which runs for 8 episodes, will air on Channel 4 this summer. Then, it comes to BritBox International (US & Canada) in the autumn.
