With one Superman prequel series, Krypton, set to debut this side of Easter, it turns out that a new live action programme is also on the way. And this one is going to be set in the era before Superman.
It’s going by the name of Metropolis, and it’ll see Lex Luthor and Lois Lane teaming up to investigate paranormal crimes in the city. If you’re thinking that sounds a bit X-Files-y, then you’re not alone there. It seems pretty much everyone thinks the same.
13 episodes of the show have already been ordered by DC Entertainment too, with John Stephens penning the first episode, and Danny Cannon (Gotham) directing. Filming will begin later this year, and it’ll debut on the planned DC streaming service that’s being launched in 2019.
No casting has thus far been announced.
