The show releases an in-universe movie promo in preparation for Season 3.
The Boys is well-known for its clever in-universe promos. Branded from Vought Studios, part of the all-encompassing Vought Industries, this is the trailer for ‘Dawn of the Seven’ – the movie we saw filming during Season 2.
“We are your heroes. We are here to serve and protect you.”
It’s not tough to see the parallels with this one, from a destroyed New York to a vital central tower. Oh, and “The Bourke Cut” is a nice touch too, giving a nod to the recent release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League.
‘Dawn of the Seven’ stars Homelander (Anthony Starr), A-Train (Jessie Usher), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell). The Deep (Chace Crawford) is missing, but that makes sense as he was banished for much of Season 2.
The film also appears to have picked up Greg Grunberg, cast as himself. The former Heroes star looks to be taking on a Happy Hogan-type role; it makes sense, he’s an actor who pops up everywhere!
The Boys Season 3
The Boys return on the 3rd of June and Prime Video dropped a full-bloodied, thrillingly NSFW trailer just last week. The show drops the first three episodes on the 3rd, followed by weekly installments concluding on Friday, the 8th of July.
