It’s been a long wait, but Wednesday Addams is finally heading back to Nevermore Academy.

Netflix’s spin-off from The Addams Family, starring Jenna Ortega as the family’s eldest child, first aired in 2002.

Now, three years later, Wednesday is finally back for a second season, reuniting most of the cast and pumping the show up with a number of high-profile guest stars.

Like a number of the streamer’s biggest shows, such as The Sandman and Stranger Things, Wednesday season 2 will land in two batches.

Part I is coming on August 6th, and Part II follows on September 3rd, 2025.

As well as a great gag scene Wednesday and Thing going through a metal detector, the two-minute trailer also showcases the upcoming run…

So, expect creepy dolls, dark tears and more monsters. Plus Nevermore Academy’s new Principal Dort, played by Steve Buscemi.

Pugsley with powers?

According to Netflix, for season 2, Wednesday is joined at school by her little brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), who begins his own Nevermore journey. Their parents, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán), will also have an increased presence on campus, promising a rare new form of torture for the fiercely independent amateur sleuth.

Plus, we’ll get to meet Wednesday’s Grandmama Hester Frump, played by Joanna Lumley!

For more on the show’s return, check out Netflix’s Tudum which carries comments from show creators Alfred Gough and Mark Millar, as well as director Tim Burton. It also gives a rundown of the returning characters, including Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) and Tyler (Hunter Doohan).

We’ll keep you posted on Wednesday.
