Karl Urban, who played the iconic Judge Dredd character in the Dredd movie from 2012, has had meetings about returning to the role. He has long been rumoured to show up in Judge Dredd: Mega-City One, the TV show that is currently in development.
Judge Dredd: Mega City One, the TV series that’s currently in development, is starting to come together. Rebellion Productions have brought in comic book writer Rob Williams, who has delivered a script for the pilot episode. The first two seasons have also been planned out.
After the impressive Dredd movie from 2012 failed to catch fire at the worldwide box office, it looks like the screen adventures of Judge Dredd were at an end (in spite of a determined campaign to get a cinematic sequel going).
