‘Doctor Who’ infographic: How often does the Doctor tell people to ‘shut up’?

Ever get the feeling that there’s rather a lot of people being told to ‘shut up’ in Peter Capaldi’s era of Doctor Who?

Well, it turns out you’re not imagining it.

As part of his brilliant range of Doctor Who infographics, fan Paul Smith has calculated exactly how often there have been commands for characters to stop talking over the years.

In his first season alone, Capaldi’s Doctor said ‘shut up’ more times than the first ten Doctors did combined during their entire tenures!

Matt Smiths’s Doctor came in second place, followed by Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor and then Colin Baker’s Doctor, with Tom Baker’s Doctor not far behind.
