Okay, when we saw the poster for this on Twitter we thought it was made up because, frankly, it just sounded too good to be true.

Coming to Birmingham next month is the GCCF’s Supreme Cat Show, featuring Doctor Who actors Colin Baker (the Sixth Doctor), John Leeson (K9) and Peter Purves (’60s companion Steven Taylor).

The guests will be available for photos and autographs and will be hosting a series of ‘An audience with’ chats throughout the day.

Highlights include the announcement of Cat of the Year, fun kitten classes and sci-fi themed fancy dress.

A day of Doctor Who and cats… DOCTOR WHO AND CATS! It’s not a dream, folks.

The event launches with a Gala Dinner on Friday 21 October, with the main show taking place on Saturday 22 October.

Other guests include Blake’s 7 stars Paul Darrow and Michael Keating.
