House of Cards season 6: teaser trailer released

Netflix are pulling out all the stops when it comes to publicising the hotly-anticipated, Kevin Spacey-less final season of House of Cards with the surprise release of a new teaser trailer.

The sixth and final season is set to be the first with Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood in a solo leading capacity – a fitting move since Claire superseded her husband as President of the United States at the end of the last season.

It’s been confirmed that Wright will be joined by Diane Lane, Greg Kinnear and Cody Fern in the final season as political heavyweights, the Shepherds. Netflix have already teased Frank’s fate as well as released some first-look photos at the series’s new stars.

House of Cards‘ newest trailer teases Claire’s first 100 days as President, her long line of enemies and efforts by the media to take her done. There’s familiar faces, quite a bit more action than we’ve previously seen, and Diane Keaton channeling Melania Trump.

Without further ado, the trailer looks a bit like this:

House of Cards‘ sixth and final season debuts in full on Friday 2nd November.
