It is widely known among Doctor Who fans that some filming occurred in Sheffield during the first block of filming for Doctor Who Series 11. Among the known Sheffield filming locations for the first filming block are Hunter House Road, Hunter’s Bar, the HTC Plant, Norton Water Tower, Shrewsbury Road, Sheffield Train Station and Park Hill Flats.
You could almost add an addendum to the first episode title: The Woman Who Fell to Earth — in Sheffield.
It has been rumoured, from several different sources, that the press launch of the first episode of Doctor Who Series 11, The Woman Who Fell to Earth will take place on Monday, September 24 in Sheffield.
Some photos from the HTC plant filming were published in the Daily Mail.
