The BBC have confirmed that the puzzle-setting sleuth John “Ludwig” Taylor will be back for Series 2.
Across the past six weeks, we’ve been charmed by David Mitchell’s new comedy-drama Ludwig. It’s also been a considerable success for the BBC who are calling it their “biggest new scripted show of the year.”
Pressed into action when his detective twin brother goes missing, Mitchell’s John Taylor – by day is a reclusive puzzle-setter who goes by the name of “Ludwig” – brings his unique set of skills to police work solving murders around Cambridge. At the same time, he’s investigating his brother’s disappearance in concert with his sister-in-law Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin).
At the series’ conclusion, with the mystery surrounding James still unresolved, it was clearly set up for more. Now, the BBC have confirmed that the show will indeed return.
