JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has already experienced the adaptation treatment with the anime series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure in 2012. Fan have been anticipating an adaptation for the epic story of Steel Ball Run, which is part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Excitement is building after the announcement that Steel Ball Run JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will get its own series on Netflix. This announcement comes as part of a celebration of Netflix’s 10th anniversary in Japan.
What’s it about?
Set in America in the 19th Century, Steel Ball Run JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure focuses on former jockey Johnny Joestar. He’s joined by Gyro Zepelli, an outlaw, as they take part in a cross-continental horse race.
Manga from Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise has sold over 120 million copies since debuting in 1986, so interest is high in the rich world of JoJo.

The official cast list is yet to be released.
Who’s behind it?
Yasuhiro Kimura (Urusei Yatsura) and Hideya Takahashi (Sword Art Online) have been confirmed as directors with Toshiyuki Kato (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as series director.
