In a pre-Christmas treat to Doctor Who fans, there’s a free Christopher Eccleston Big Finish podcast

It’s been widely reported Christopher Eccleston is reprising the role of the Ninth Doctor for Big Finish, and last week a picture from recording (see above) caused quite a Twitter storm. Now, in the regular weekly Big Finish podcast, not only does Nick Briggs talk about the recording of the new Ninth Doctor Audios, but there’s also an interview as well. The interview starts just after 23 minutes in and runs until 29:36. The rest of the podcast includes all the standard Big Finish banter, news and trailers. Nick was also interviewed from the car park (see here) for ITV show Lorraine. He confirmed he has no plans to return to the role for TV, even with the 60th anniversary approaching. He also talked to Lorraine about the need to provide for the homeless this winter.

The first set of audios will be available in May 2021 and is called a four-disc set written by Nick called Ravegers. It can be pre-ordered on download, vinyl or CD, and three more sets are already planned for release every three months running until February 2021.
