Big Finish has outlined some of the Torchwood releases planned for 2021 and this includes something special — the fiftieth release in their Torchwood audio range!
Big Finish began releasing Torchwood audios in 2015, and to our ears these have been some of their most interesting releases since. May 2021 sees the release of their fiftieth title but details are being kept under wraps. More information on the first release of 2021 is now available, and the titles are:
January
Coffee by James Goss
February
Drive by David Llewelyn
March
Lease of Life by Aaron Lamont
We also see from the press release that Burn Gorman, Gareth David-Lloyd and Naoko-Mori are all confirmed as returning. Producer James Goss said:
“2021 is Torchwood’s fifteenth year and sees our fiftieth regular release come out.
“We’ve got a lot of joys planned – starting with our January release Coffee which celebrates the first three series of Torchwood from the point-of-view of the owners of a cafe in Cardiff Bay.
We’ve also got Owen investigating the worst flat share in the world and Tosh teams up with a taxi driver to save the city.
“Beyond that, subscribers to the monthly range will get a real treat with the fiftieth release. We’re also looking at doing something really lovely to celebrate Torchwood’s fifteenth anniversary (we’ve been recording it for over a year and are still going!) and there’ll be several other special releases.”
If you cant’ wait for 2021, there are still new titles being released and we reviewed October’s Three Monkeys here.
