A film crew for Doctor Who Series 12 flew into Tenerife in the Canary Islands Monday, April 1.
The film crew are based in Los Gigantes, a resort town in the Santiago del Teide municipality on the west coast of the island.
Jodie Whittaker also flew in to Tenerife the same day.
Despite it being a working trip, Whittaker enjoys warm foreign filming locations, according to a recent interview with Audi.
“I still get very excited when I’m getting on a plane and going somewhere warm. It’s probably because we have such inconsistent weather here in Britain, but there’s nothing better than rocking up somewhere and knowing it’s not going to rain for a while.”
Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole were apparently spotted checking in to the hotel in Los Gigantes.
Spotted yesterday: the two doctor who assistants who are not Bradley Walsh checking into a hotel in Tenerife. Filming here?

There is a long history of filming Doctor Who in the Canary Islands, beginning with the fifth Doctor episode Planet of Fire, filmed in Lanzarote in 1983.
Doctor Who production returned again to Lanzarote in 2014 to film the twelfth Doctor Episode Kill the Moon with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.
Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman returned to the Canary Islands with Michelle Gomez in 2015 to film the Series 9 episode The Witch’s Familiar in Tenerife. Later the same year, Series 9 filming continued in Fuerteventura with Jemma Redgrave filming scenes for The Zygon Inversion and Peter Capaldi filming Hell Bent.
In 2016, Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas filmed the Series 10 Episode The Pryamid at the End of the World in Tenerife.
