Amidst a sinister series of events at a seemingly abandoned house in London, someone goes missing, and you find their phone. When it begins to self-destruct, ex-UNIT scientist Petronella Osgood enlists your help to uncover hidden clues and solve cryptic puzzles. Unravel the truth behind the chilling disappearance before it’s too late! But remember: don’t turn your back, don’t look away and DON’T BLINK.
Building on the terrifying legacy of the Weeping Angels, first encountered in the iconic Doctor Who Series 3 episode Blink, Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is a found-phone mystery thriller developed by Maze Theory and Kaigan Games.
“It’s funny because, when you’re not filming close-ups, you can move around a lot more and so you’re quite free,” Ingrid Oliver said of filming for the game to the virtual panel at New York Comic Con in October of 2020. “It feels very real, like you’re in the situation, which is terrifying, considering what we were filming.”
Players must search through messages, emails, videos, photographs and more to uncover clues, solve puzzles and reveal the truth. But remember: no phone is safe!
The game also features Finlay Robertson as Larry Nightingale and a special appearance by Jodie Whittaker as the voice of the Doctor.
Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins will be available on the Apple App Store, Google Play and Steam from March 19, 2021. You can pre-order or preregister for the game now.
