Peter Capaldi’s Doctor will wear an updated costume in the new season of Doctor Who.

Twitter user @amberlabamba_ posted a photo of the new outfit, as seen during recent filming, featuring Capaldi in a dark blue hoodie over a black jumper, similar to his look in ‘Last Christmas’.

The actor is also wearing a pair of plaid trousers, similar to those worn by Patrick Troughton’s Second Doctor.

The dark blue Crombie coat with red lining and black Loake shoes appear to the same as his original Season 8 costume.

Season 9 began filming in Cardiff in January and will air on BBC One this autumn.

It was announced earlier this week that Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams will guest star in an upcoming episode.
