It’s Homelander’s world and we’re just living in it.
While Netflix have been busy dropping Stranger Things 5 dates and Wednesday footage, they’re not the only streamer in town. Prime Video has revealed a teaser trailer for the second season of its college aged The Boys spinoff, Gen V.
The trailer premiered at CCXP México during a panel with stars Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, London Thor and Derek Luh.
The show was recommissioned in 2023 as season 1 aired, but production was understandably impacted by Chance Perdomo’s death. The actor, who played Andre Anderson, died in a motorcycle accident in March 2024. His character has not been recast, but the absence does form part of the series storyline.
Here’s the official synopsis.
In Season Two, school is back in session. As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist, back at Godolkin University, the mysterious new Dean preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss. But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it.
Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor as Jordan Li, Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. Additionally, Hamish Linklater joins the show as Dean Cipher.
Gen V season 2 premieres on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 with three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly, leading to the season finale on Wednesday, October 22nd.
We’ll keep you posted on Gen V season 2 and everything brewing in the Voughtverse.
