On 13 May, 2023, a new trailer gave viewers another exciting glimpse of what to expect this November for Doctor Who‘s 60th anniversary, and it exclusively revealed the titles of the three specials.
The titles for the three Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials are:
The Star Beast
Wild Blue Yonder
The Giggle
Doctor Who Showrunner Russell T Davies said:
“The titles are just the beginning of the Doctor’s biggest adventure yet. Autumn is coming, with three hours of danger, Donna and disaster about to be unleashed!”
The order and placement of the titles falls after the relevant scenes with the exception of the bonus scenes from The Star Beast at the end.
Davies stated in Doctor Who Magazine that none of the images from the previous full trailer were from the second special, Wild Blue Yonder. Three scenes from Wild Blue Yonder appear in the most recent trailer.
Scenes from The Star Beast:
Doctor: “I don’t think that’s a plane, it’s a spaceship in trouble.”
Donna Noble: “Why did this face come back? To say ‘Goodbye’?”
The Meep: “Wah!”
Donna: “What the hell?”
Scenes from Wild Blue Yonder:
Donna: “Oh, my God, where are we?”
Doctor: “I’m sorry, Donna.”
Scenes from The Giggle:
Doctor: “He’s here… driving you mad… laughing at the human race.”
Neil Patrick Harris [The Toymaker?]: “Ha ha HA ha ha ha!”
Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble.
