Doctor Who BBC centenary special: filming continues in Cardiff

Posted Filed under

Despite Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill having wrapped their filming on the Doctor Who BBC centenary special on 13 October, filming continued with the TARDIS on West Bute Street in Cardiff on 14 October.

According to various reports, a double for Jodie Whittaker’s thirteenth Doctor was present at the filming, as was an actress the crew was keen to keep hidden.

When doubles are used in filming the camera angle in the shot is typically behind the double. According to reports, both the unidentified actress and the thirteenth Doctor double were in the same shot with the TARDIS.

The filming is likely related to the centenary special scenes recorded at Hodge House in Cardiff in September.

The Doctor Who BBC Centenary special will air in Autumn 2022. It will be the last for Jodie Whittaker’s thirteenth Doctor.
