The scene filmed involved the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) exiting the TARDIS. Ruby enters the coffee shop to warmly greet and speak to a middle-aged woman.

The filming was for the two-part finale of the 2024 Doctor Who series directed by Jamie Donoughue, consisting of Episodes 7 and 8. Gatwa wore the same costume he wore at Doctor Who filming in Cardiff at the Sherman Theatre, One Central Square, Cardiff City Hall and Park Street.
Filming for the 2024 Doctor Who series is expected to wrap some time this month, July 2023.
Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble. In the following festive period, Ncuti Gatwa will star in his first full Doctor Who episode as the Fifteenth Doctor. A new Doctor Who series starring Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson will debut in 2024.
