Being Human creator Toby Whithouse has announced that he will be writing an episode for the new season of Doctor Who.
Previously confirmed writers for Season 10 include Mark Gatiss, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, Sarah Dollard, Jamie Mathieson, Rona Munro and Mike Bartlett.
Showrunner Steven Moffat previously revealed that he expects to write four of the season’s twelve episodes, leaving only one writer yet to be announced (our bet is on Peter Harness).
Whithouse tweeted this morning: “I’m writing an ep of the new series of Doctor Who. Steven [Moffat] says so in this month’s [Doctor Who Magazine]. So if it was a secret he’s only got himself to blame.”
The episode will be Whithouse’s seventh for Doctor Who, following ‘School Reunion’ (2006), ‘The Vampires of Venice’ (2010), ‘The God Complex’ (2011), ‘A Town Called Mercy’ (2012) and last year’s two-part story, ‘Under the Lake’ and ‘Before the Flood’.
