The cast of Victoria have gathered this week to read through the first scripts for the new season.
The period drama series launched on ITV last August and follows Queen Victoria (Jenna Coleman) from her accession to the throne at the tender age of 18 through to her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert.
Victoria is currently airing in the US on Sunday nights on PBS, in the slot traditionally taken by Downton Abbey.

Goodwin previously gave some hints on Twitter about to expect in Season 2: “[I] hope to get through most of the Hungry Forties: a decade of revolution, famine and unrest, and for V much childbearing! #nopainrelief”
Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman has revealed that there are long-term plans for the show’s future, saying: “[Victoria has the potential to go on] for a really long time. Discussions are being had.”
Season 2 will air on ITV this autumn, followed by a Christmas special. Filming begins later this month.
