We finally have a Lucifer season 5B date from Netflix. Probably. We’ll explain…
We’ve been on tenterhooks for what seems like forever, waiting news of the Lucifer season 5B date. Much delayed by the pandemic and a need to change the final episode (we’re getting a season 6), Lucifans have been scouring the web for clues as to when we will get more Lucifer. It looks like it’s going to be May (as we predicted).
Why the mystery about the Lucifer season 5B date?
Several people have reported seeing a date announced on Netflix, only to have it removed. It was also reported on WhatsOnNetflix. It’s too early for an April Fool’s, but it might still be someone’s idea of amusing trolling. We just checked and it (mid-afternoon, Monday 29 March UK time) still says more episodes coming soon. Some people have screen grabs they’ve tweeted. They seem real, but in the 21st century a lot is possible. The date being touted is May 28, 2021. It’s definitely plausible; in our view a lot of shows release on Friday to catch a wave of viewers across the weekend (even in these lockdown / work from home times). It’s even (in the UK) a Bank Holiday weekend, meaning we can watch Lucifer season 5B at least twice;-)
Our suggestion is to watch the official Twitter feeds for Netflix, Lucifer and Dennis Haysbert. Or let us do it for you!
